It’s this blend of heritage, skill and passion that makes our shipyards unlike any other place in the world.\nWho We Are Seeking\nWe are looking for a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design team at Sunseeker International. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a passion for innovative design, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and integration of machinery and systems across our luxury yacht range, supporting both new product development and existing vessel platforms. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and take pride in producing accurate and manufacturable engineering designs.\nA Day in the Life\nNo two days are the same in this role. You could be developing detailed 3D CAD models of steering or stabilisation systems, producing installation drawings for production teams, collaborating with suppliers on component selection, or supporting innovative new yacht projects.\nWorking closely with Engineering Team Leaders and colleagues across Design and Planning, you will help bring world-class engineering solutions from concept through to manufacture, ensuring designs meet quality, compliance, and performance standards.\nExample Responsibilities Include\nProducing detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using Siemens NX or similar CAD software.\nDesigning and integrating machinery and system components for luxury yachts.\nSupporting the development of steering, thruster, stabilisation, exhaust, fire suppression, HVAC, fuel, fresh water, grey water, black water, and bilge systems.\nCreating technical documentation, installation drawings, and owner manual content.\nMaintaining accurate engineering data and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within SAP.\nWorking closely with suppliers and external partners to support technical development and problem-solving.\nEnsuring designs comply with company standards, classification requirements, and manufacturing processes.\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, efficiency, and standardisation.\nTo Be Considered for This Role You Should Have\nA degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Design Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).\nStrong experience using 3D CAD software, ideally Siemens NX or a similar package.\nPrevious experience in a Design Engineer role, preferably within the marine industry.\nExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nThe ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.\nA collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to innovative engineering solutions.\nA commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance\nSunseeker employees benefit from\nWith 7 miles of golden sandy beaches, flanked on both sides by the New Forest National Park and the Jurassic Coast line, working in Poole for a genuinely premiere international brand offers an enviable opportunity to truly live the dream.
