Candidate must be available to interview within one week of the posting closing date and begin work within two weeks of an offer.\nMandatory Technical Qualifications\nMinimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large enterprise networks.\n\nMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus switches.\n\nMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and Panorama.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPsec VPN, NAT, and QoS.\n\nExperience supporting high-availability, mission-critical network environments.\n\nExperience coordinating copper and fiber-optic cabling installations.\n\nExperience supervising a small technical team.\n\nCCNP, Palo Alto Networks NGFW Engineer, or comparable professional certification.\n\nFamiliarity with Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira, and SolarWinds Orion.\n\nPosition Overview\nSunSoftOnline seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support the network infrastructure serving its Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and regional emergency dispatch operations.\nThe engineer will manage Cisco Catalyst and Nexus networking environments, deploy Palo Alto firewalls across fire stations, improve BGP and OSPF routing resiliency, and maintain secure, highly available communications supporting critical public safety operations.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting public safety, emergency dispatch, government, or other 24/7 critical infrastructure environments.\n\nDirect experience supporting Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.\n\nExperience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and high-availability architecture.\n\nImportant:This position is not remote or hybrid.
