Daily activities include heavy phone and internet correspondence with customers and vendors; source custom, non-standard, value added solutions; enter all sales orders and purchase orders into the operating system; and set up part numbers and manage contract files.\nEssential Functions:\nSell industrial hose, gasket and piping products and maintain customer accounts \nTake orders on the phone and over the internet \nEnter orders and product quotes into the computer system \nEmphasize salable features, quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales orders for orders obtained \nEstimate delivery dates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules and inventory \nPrepares reports of business transactions in company database \nWorks with account managers to keep account activities up to date \nInvestigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries \nConduct technical research and work with customers to bring to market viable solutions \nInterpret customer drawings, specifications, solid models and engineering data to then translate into an assembly bill of materials, price and quote from available information, then make fabrication drawings \nEstablish component part numbers, set up assembly parts, enter orders, purchase components, create drawings/die files for all branches, and schedule projects with production \nFollow orders through the process from door to door, solving any problems along the way \nManage all files including purchase orders, drawings, specifications and models \nThis position is onsite and does not offer a remote work arrangement \nExperience, Education and Skills:\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or higher is preferred. \nIndustry Knowledge: Must possess good working knowledge of engineering principals, solid modeling, welding and fabrication. Knowledge of industrial hose, gasket and piping required.
