This role requires a background in Electrical Engineering with experience using AutoCAD.\nSummary\nEstimates, designs and manages systems integration group projects and other custom industrial equipment projects from concept through build.\nExpectations\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.\nClient Request for Quote (RFQ) Review and Response\nRead client RFQs including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's), process descriptions and equipment specifications.\nDevelop Bill of Material (BOM) i in accordance with client specifications.\nResearch and solicit component cost and availability.\nWork with Electrical Systems staff to develop electrical scope of work.\nAssess labor hours required for design and fabrication.\nDevelop total system cost and selling price and review with management.\nProduce formal proposal to client including detailed descriptions of scope of work.\nProject Management\nReview and verify acceptance of client order in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.\nSpecify equipment through vendors in accordance with client specifications and submit for approval.\nProduce Electrical Drawings with CAD modeling software.\nParticipate in design review meetings as required.\nSubmit drawings for approval to client and address changes upon request.\nSubmit Components for purchase to Purchasing Administrator.\nInteract with production personnel to define and solve manufacturing/design issues.\nManage fabrication of project through close coordination with client, Shop Manager, Quality Manager and other staff.\nManage FAT Testing in accordance with client specifications.\nInteract with client regarding scope, schedule and requesting of information as needed.\nInteract with vendors regarding component selection, pricing and delivery.\nDevelop Installation, Operation and Maintenance manuals for project.\nCoordinate with purchasing, quality, sales, production and accounting personnel.\nAdvise Manager of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.\nOther\nCommunicates with co-workers, management, clients and others in an effective, professional and courteous manner.\nEnsures company policies and procedures are followed, safe working conditions are maintained and safety procedures are followed.\nMaintains clean and organized work area.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does require influencing the actions of others.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.\nTravel\nOccasional travel is expected, which may require overnight stays and weekends. Ability to transport self to various facility sites as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid state driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of insurance that meets the minimum standards of the state.\nPreferred Education\nBachelor's degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from a four-year College or University; or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPreferred Experience\nMinimum one year project management or design experience, and one year in manufacturing or fabrication environment utilizing CAD modeling software. Understanding of materials, control panel design, process flow and Piping & Instrument Diagrams.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional environment where there is ambient room temperature and lighting as typically found in an office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, printers, calculators, etc. The noise level is usually moderate.\nThe performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing and shipping/receiving areas where, under certain areas, the noise level is high; may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, foot and/or hearing protection.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
