This role ensures that sales data in CRM/ERP systems is current and accurate - helping keep our distribution operation efficient and our customers and suppliers satisfied.\nReports to: VP of Sales\nJob type: Full-time, on-site\nKey responsibilities\nReviews customer quotes, proposals and order acknowledgements; ensure margins and discount approvals are applied.\nCoordinate with warehouse, shipping and logistics to schedule shipments and resolve fulfillment or delivery problems.\nCommunicate with manufacturers and suppliers to confirm availability, and expedite requests.\nMaintain and update customer, product and pricing records in CRM/ERP; ensure data integrity.\nPrepare routine sales and order reports (daily/weekly/monthly) and ad-hoc reports for management and sales reps.\nSupport sales reps with administrative tasks: proposals, pricing research, bid packages, and contract documentation.\nHelp implement process improvements and support system upgrades (ERP/CRM).\nEnsure compliance with company policies, trade regulations and internal controls for order processing.\nRequired qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n3-5+ years experience in sales administration, inside sales, or order management - preferably in distribution, manufacturing or industrial automation.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and Office applications.\nExperience with ERP and CRM systems (examples: Infor, P21) - comfortable learning new systems.\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.\nClear, professional verbal and written communication; customer service orientation.\nAbility to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred\nKnowledge of industrial automation products (sensors, connectors, motion control, PLCs) or experience supporting technical sales.\nExposure to pricing strategies, margin calculations and commercial quoting processes.\nPerformance measures (examples)\nOrder accuracy rate\nOn-time order fulfillment\nQuote turnaround time\nCustomer satisfaction / resolution time\nData accuracy in CRM/ERP\nWorking conditions\nOffice-based with regular collaboration with warehouse and field sales; occasional on-site visits to distributor or customer facilities.\nTypical business hours; occasional extended hours during month-end or high-volume periods.\nMay occasionally lift small parcels or assist in the warehouse (up to ~25 lbs) depending on company practices.\nWhy Electro-Matic\nAs a leading industrial automation distributor, Electro-Matic combines technical product expertise with fast, reliable distribution.
