Reporting to the Head of Risk, the role will help coordinate risk and control assessments, assess third-party risk, manage incidents through to resolution and support the Group’s operational resilience arrangements. The successful candidate will work with teams across the business to maintain clear risk records, monitor agreed actions and support effective risk reporting and decision-making.In this role you will:\nHelp coordinate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process, working with business teams to identify and document key risks, controls, gaps and improvement actions.\nMaintain risk registers and supporting records, monitor agreed actions and follow up with responsible stakeholders through to completion.\nSupport vendor risk assessments and onboarding activities, including due diligence, documenting identified risks and tracking any required remediation.\nSupport the management of incidents from initial reporting through to resolution, ensuring accurate records are maintained and actions are appropriately monitored.\nAssist with business continuity and operational resilience activities, including maintaining plans, supporting assessments and exercises, and tracking resulting actions.\nHelp prepare risk reports, dashboards and management information, and support Risk-related governance meetings through the coordination of papers and actions.\nResponsabilidades\nSuntera Global is a leading international provider of corporate, trust, tax, accounting, and fund administration services. Relevant work placements, internships, academic projects or experience in a business environment would be beneficial.For appointment at Risk Officer level, previous experience in a risk, governance, compliance, audit, operational or control-focused role would be preferred.\nSkills and requirements:\nA degree, equivalent qualification or relevant practical experience in business administration, compliance, risk, law or a related discipline, together with a demonstrable interest in risk management, governance, business operations, audit or compliance. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.\nWillingness to undertake relevant professional development, with support from Suntera Global, for example through the Institute of Risk Management or a similar professional body.\nRelevant academic modules, projects, placements or short courses in risk management, business continuity, governance, audit, information security or related areas would be beneficial.\nInterest in enterprise risk management, including the purpose and application of Risk and Control Self-Assessments.\nAwareness of third-party and vendor risk, including due diligence and ongoing oversight.\nAwareness of incident management, including the need to record, escalate and resolve incidents appropriately.\nAwareness of operational resilience and business continuity.\nFamiliarity with risk management standards, regulatory expectations or recognised control frameworks would be advantageous.\nAn analytical and inquisitive approach, with the ability to identify risks, question assumptions and highlight potential control gaps.\nStrong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to monitor actions through to completion.\nClear and effective written and verbal communication skills.\nConfidence in engaging with stakeholders across different teams, levels of seniority and jurisdictions.\nThe ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.\nA proactive, practical and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.\nRelevant experience may include:Supporting business processes and maintaining accurate records, registers and action trackers.\nGathering information from stakeholders and monitoring actions through to completion.\nProducing clear written reports, summaries and management information.\nUsing spreadsheets to organise and analyse business information.\nSupporting risk assessments, control reviews, incident management, business continuity activities or third-party due diligence.\nBeneficios\nOur offices are in Peveril Buildings in Douglas, providing easy access to the town centre where you will find a large choice of shops and eateries to enjoy with your team at lunch or after work.
