Job Title : Mainframe Architect

Location : Pune

Experience : 8 to 10 Years

Notice Period : Immediate Joiners or Candidates Serving Notice Preferred

Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Architect to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mainframe technologies, application architecture, and legacy system modernization. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade mainframe applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, implement, and support mainframe applications.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

- Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

- Create and review application architecture and technical design documents.

- Perform application performance tuning and optimization.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability.

- Support data architecture, data modeling, and data migration initiatives.

- Execute and validate data migration testing activities.

- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Contribute to mainframe modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in COBOL

- Hands-on expertise in JCL

- Proficiency in DB2

- Experience with CICS

- Mainframe Application Development

- Data Architecture and Data Modeling

- Data Migration Testing

- Application Performance Tuning and Production Support

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
