This will help us excel and stay ahead of the game.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nAs part of your role, your responsibilities will include:\nDuties\nMonthly management reports\nAssist in the preparation of the management accounts\nAssist with posting of invoices, accruals and prepayments\nReview expense analysis, , prepayments and accruals to identify missing expenses and raise accruals appropriately\nReconcile prepayments, accruals, foreign exchange\nAssist with the analysis of expenses, with commentary (Opex, IS and Fee files) ensuring all expenses have been categorised and allocated correctly\nAssist with updating headcount splits by department, brand and region for cost allocation purposes\nMatching of open items\nRun FX in Business Central and prepare FX reconciliations\nProactively resolve any queries raised\nPreparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations\nPreparation of all fixed asset recons and review the fixed asset register ensuring that assets are captured and depreciated in line with fixed asset policies, scrapping old assets and revisiting estimated useful lives\nMonitor and maintain reporting dimensions to ensure the accurate allocation of brands, products, and regions across all relevant entities.\nMonitor reporting dimension SPLIT in BC to ensure accurate allocation across brands, products and regions in all entities.\nAssist in ensuring accurate and up-to-date MRC’s within FloQast working paper files.\nReporting\nPrepare monthly balance sheet schedules in particular trade and other receivables and payables\nPreparation of loan schedules and monitoring of loan balances and cashflow and dividend payments\nPrepare necessary commentary for month end Opex review files and review input and commentary from Creditors controllers\nPrepare necessary commentary for balance sheet review files\nAssist with the preparation of monthly Income statement files, including commentaries per expense type and brand\nUpdating of disclosure schedules for quarterly audit files\nManaging reporting index.\nOperations\nEnsure all intragroups are settled timeously and balances confirmed monthly\nEnsure all customers are collected and vendors settled\nReviewing of aging reports and open items\nCommunicate cash requirements with Treasury team weekly\nEnsure all contractual relationships up to date\nReview contracts matrix regularly with Legal\nPosting of ad hoc journal entries\nEnsure vendors are kept up to date with banking details and changes for the payment journal process.\nMonitor and maintain provisions and litigation schedules, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting documentation and timely updates.\nMonitor and manage intercompany loan schedules, ensuring balance are accurate, documentation maintained, repayment plan are tracked and executed in line with agreement.\nPayments\nAct as the delegated approver for payment packs in the absence of the Financial Manager. \nAudits\nPreparation and review of internal and external audit files\nLiaise with the statutory team to ensure all queries resolved timeously\nTeam Leadership\nCo-ordinate functions in the team to ensure that all team members are working effectively and able to deliver reporting on time\nEnsure best business practice is embedded across all processes and functions\nEnsure team key deliverables are met on time and accurately\nProvide guidance, mentoring and support to all direct reports to ensure the team is working efficiently and coherently\nManage all stakeholder expectations appropriately and communicate any potential problems\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
