These services are well-suited for products that require a high level of manufacturing repeatability and accuracy.\nPosition Summary\nSuper Steel is hiring an Associate Buyer to keep our Mequon production floor supplied with the right materials, at the right time, at the right price. This is a hands-on, tactical role focused on daily purchase order execution, supplier follow-up, and on-time delivery. It is a strong fit for someone with 1-2 years of purchasing, materials, or inventory experience, who enjoys supply chain functions.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlace, track, and expedite purchase orders for raw materials, hardware, consumables, and MRO supplies based on MRP signals and production schedules\nFollow up daily on open orders; expedite late or critical items and communicate delivery changes to production, scheduling, and receiving.\nResolve receiving discrepancies, pricing errors, and invoice mismatches with suppliers, receiving, and accounts payable.\nMonitor inventory levels and reorder points; flag shortages and excess stock to the Purchasing Manager.\nRequest quotes from approved suppliers for routine buys and summarize them for review.\nCoordinate returns, rejected material, and corrective actions with suppliers and Quality.\nMaintain accurate supplier, item, and pricing records in the ERP system.\nArrange freight for inbound and outbound shipments as needed.\nSupport cycle counts, physical inventory, and other purchasing tasks as assigned.\nQualifications Required\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas) and Outlook.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment\nQualifications Preferred\n1-2 years of experience in purchasing, materials, inventory control or a related manufacturing role.\nExperience working with an ERP or MRP system.\nSkills and Work Environment\nKey skills\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and data entry.\nOrganized follow-through on many open orders at once.\nClear, professional communication by phone and email with suppliers and coworkers.\nSense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.\nWork environment\nOffice setting with regular time on the manufacturing floor and in receiving.\nRequired safety equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes) on the shop floor.\nOccasional lifting up to 25 lbs.\nBenefits\nIndividual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement: As part of your benefits package at Super Steel LLC, you will be eligible for an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA).
