The Construction Manager will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, controlling costs, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring all homes meet established quality and safety standards.\nThe ideal candidate has at least five years of experience managing multifamily residential construction for a production or infill homebuilder, with specific experience in townhomes and multi-story attached housing. Candidates must understand both horizontal site development and vertical construction and be comfortable coordinating with trade partners, local inspectors, and internal project teams.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\nManage horizontal construction activities, including grading, utilities, site improvements, and infrastructure, as well as vertical residential construction.\n\nOversee subcontractors and trade partners, including daily coordination, scheduling, sequencing, and workmanship.\n\nDevelop and maintain construction schedules, communicate progress, and identify potential delays or project risks.\n\nLead preconstruction meetings, project startup meetings, subcontractor orientations, and routine field reviews.\n\nCoordinate municipal and agency inspections while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, permits, and conditions of approval.\n\nEnforce jobsite safety requirements, Cal/OSHA regulations, SWPPP requirements, and company safety procedures.\n\nMonitor project budgets, review trade invoices and purchase orders, manage change orders and back charges, and identify cost-saving opportunities.\n\nCoordinate with Purchasing, Development, Forward Planning, Design, Sales, and Customer Relations to ensure construction aligns with project plans and homeowner commitments.\n\nPerform quality control inspections, manage punch lists, and conduct pre-closing walkthroughs.\n\nSupport warranty transitions and help resolve post-closing construction issues as needed.\n\nMaintain accurate daily logs, field photographs, inspection records, and construction progress reports.\n\nRequired Skills and Experience\nMinimum of five years managing multifamily residential construction sites for a production or infill homebuilder.\n\nRequired experience with townhomes and multi-story attached residential construction.\n\nWorking knowledge of horizontal site development, including grading, utilities, and infrastructure, as well as vertical construction.\n\nExperience coordinating with Northern California municipalities, inspectors, subcontractors, and trade partners preferred.\n\nAbility to read and interpret civil, architectural, structural, and MEP plans.\n\nKnowledge of California building codes, Cal/OSHA regulations, and SWPPP requirements.\n\nProven ability to manage multiple subcontractors, project schedules, budgets, and quality standards simultaneously.\n\nStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n\nProficiency in construction management or scheduling software and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.\n\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nSalary range of $120,000-$140,000 annually, depending on experience.\n\nQuarterly bonus opportunities.\n\nMileage reimbursement for business travel during the
