This leadership-focused role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, resources, customer relationships, and field teams while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.\nThe ideal candidate has a strong background in structured cabling and low-voltage systems, proven project management experience, and the ability to develop teams, manage project financials, and maintain strong customer relationships. This position combines technical expertise with operational and financial accountability and is not primarily a hands-on installation role.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage multiple structured cabling and low-voltage projects from planning and kickoff through installation, testing, final acceptance, and closeout.\n\nDevelop project schedules, labor plans, material requirements, milestones, and installation strategies.\n\nCoordinate field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and other trades to maintain schedules and workflow.\n\nMonitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to address schedule, cost, scope, and quality concerns.\n\nMaintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, progress reports, test results, punch lists, and closeout packages.\n\nLead, coach, and hold field supervisors, lead technicians, installers, and apprentices accountable for performance, safety, productivity, and quality.\n\nManage project budgets, labor utilization, material costs, forecasts, billing milestones, and gross margins.\n\nPartner with sales and estimating teams to validate project scope, labor assumptions, material costs, subcontractor pricing, schedules, and risks before proposals are submitted.\n\nIdentify and document scope changes, prepare change orders, and secure approval before additional work is performed.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.\n\nLead project kickoff, coordination, progress, and closeout meetings while maintaining clear communication and resolving issues professionally.\n\nEnsure installations meet project specifications, applicable BICSI/TIA and NEC requirements, company quality standards, and safety practices.\n\nProvide technical oversight for copper and fiber systems, pathways, MDF/IDF buildouts, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve project planning, reporting, team development, operational efficiency, and project profitability.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum 7 years of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems, including at least 3 years in project management, supervision, or operations leadership.\n\nProven ability to manage multiple projects and lead field teams, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.\n\nStrong working knowledge of copper and fiber cabling, pathways, MDF/IDF environments, testing, labeling, and industry standards.\n\nAbility to read and interpret scopes of work, blueprints, specifications, CAD drawings, riser diagrams, RFPs, and construction documents.\n\nWorking knowledge of estimating, project budgeting, labor forecasting, procurement, change-order management, and project profitability.\n\nStrong communication, organization, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management, estimating, or construction-document platforms.\n\nValid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.\n\nAbility to pass background checks required for government site access.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nBICSI certification, such as Installer, Technician, or RCDD.\n\nPMP certification or comparable project management training.\n\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.\n\nExperience with healthcare, government, Department of Defense, or other regulated projects.\n\nFamiliarity with public safety DAS, access control, security systems, audio/video, or outside plant (OSP) fiber.\n\nExperience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.\n\nMeasures of Success\nDelivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements.\n\nMaintaining accurate forecasts, controlling project scope, and securing timely change-order approvals.\n\nProtecting project profitability through effective labor planning, cost management, and gross-margin accountability.\n\nDeveloping strong field teams through coaching, accountability, and training.\n\nBuilding lasting customer relationships through clear communication, reliable execution, and effective issue resolution.\n\nSupporting competitive, accurately scoped proposals that balance win rates with project costs and profitability.\n\nEqual
