You and your family will have access to LYRA, an industry leading platform that provides comprehensive support and a myriad of resources to help support your physical, mental, financial, and social well-being.\nOpportunity: A continuous focus on professional development with many opportunities for training and career growth.\nSafety Focused: We care about you and have developed a 24/7 safety mindset that is showcased throughout every facet of the organization.\nReporting directly to the Director of Field Operations, the Fleet Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing, directing, and enforcing the safe operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance for the Company’s fleet of vehicles.\nThis is a remote position; however, candidates should be based in or near Salt Lake City, Utah, as approximately 20% travel is required.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDevelop and implement corporate policies and procedures governing the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and disposal of the Company’s vehicles.\n\nDevelop and maintain a 5-year equipment replacement and capital plan.\n\nMaintain vehicle files from initial purchase through disposal in compliance with all federal, state, provincial, and local regulations, and coordinate fleet registrations, licensing, and permitting to ensure ongoing compliance.\n\nDevelop standard specifications for each vehicle type used in Company operations and coordinate the annual vehicle replacement process through competitive bidding.\n\nOversee the implementation and use of the fleet software system to support accurate vehicle documentation and lifecycle maintenance cost tracking.\n\nReview, negotiate, and approve third-party service providers and equipment vendors to secure competitive or national-account pricing, where applicable, and approve vendor invoices for payment as required.\n\nCoordinate all fleet transfers and asset disposals.\n\nCommunicate fleet compliance status, performance, and continuous improvement progress to key stakeholders.\n\nPartner with Truck Transportation Managers to establish and monitor equipment readiness standards across the fleet.\n\nDevelop and implement a comprehensive preventive fleet maintenance program to improve reliability and extend asset life.\n\nIdentify and implement opportunities to reduce repair and maintenance costs while maintaining safety, compliance, and equipment reliability.\n\nLead seasonal readiness planning to ensure equipment is inspected, maintained, and prepared for winter operating conditions.\n\nAssess fleet utilization and maintain an appropriately sized fleet aligned with driver requirements, operational demand, and adequate spare-equipment coverage.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWhat you bring:\nBS/BA degree preferred or subject matter professional certification\n\nMinimum of 7 - 10 years related experience including supervisor experience.\n\nMechanical experience preferred\n\nExceptional knowledge and understanding of pertinent federal, state, and local regulatory requirements including but not limited to DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA.\n\nProven experience and knowledge of developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs and vehicle maintenance procedures.\n\nLegal Authorization to work in the US is required.
