Our Operations unit is responsible for ensuring that the business has the technical capability and capacity to deliver services to all Superloop customers ranging from Home Broadband to International Wholesale.\n\nRole Purpose\nThe primary goal of the Network Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of the Superloop network in order to provide maximum performance and availability to all customers. The Network Engineer is responsible for building, supporting, and maintaining all devices and services within Superloop’s global network.\nResponsibilities of the Network Engineer include:\nImplementing network infrastructure.\n\nProactively monitoring network performance.\n\nTroubleshooting network faults.\n\nAdhering to all network security standards.\n\nManaging and maintaining network documentation and inventory.\n\nCollaborating with other business units where required.\n\nMaintaining current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.\n\nAdhering to all company policies.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nMigration of existing services onto newly installed infrastructure within agreed timelines.\n\nMonitor network performance on a regular basis to ensure network reliability.\n\nPlan and execute network infrastructure upgrades to ensure sufficient network capacity to handle increased demand.\n\nEnsure all changes are implemented as per the current Superloop change process and Network Engineering MOP guidelines.\n\nAcknowledge and action support tickets escalated to Engineering Services in a timely manner.\n\nProvide engineering support to NOC, Presales and Provisioning teams within agreed internal response times.\n\nEnsure all required network documentation and inventory has been created and is kept up to date.\n\nComplete all allocated tasks within agreed timelines, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and goals.\n\nMaintain and grow internal relationships with the Network Operations, Service Delivery, Network Provisioning, Presales, Products, Sales and Commercial teams.\n\nMaintain a reasonable level of responsiveness across all SLC communication mediums.\n\nPromote and participate in a learning environment to encourage up-skilling across the network engineering and support teams.\n\nCompletion of company cyber security training.\n\nCompletion of company workplace health and safety training.\n\nQualifications and Experience\nDegree in Telecommunications or related discipline.\n\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in a networking related role.\n\nGood knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 networks.\n\nGood understanding of ethernet switching technologies.\n\nGood understanding of Multiprotocol Label Switching(MPLS).\n\nGood understanding of IP routing and forwarding.\n\nAbility to work without supervision and in a team environment.\n\nStrong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.\n\nThe ability to communicate technical information to other business units in a concise manner.\n\nCCNP or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.\n\nOn Offer\nWe Believe In Creating a Workplace That's As Rewarding As It Is Fun!
