We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.\nJob Summary:\nWe are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Hardware Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to support robust server platform hardware design and development. You will be responsible for schematic capture, circuit design, PCB layout review, board bring-up, and laboratory validation.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n Schematic Capture & Circuit Design: Responsible for schematics bring up, select components, design-rule checks (DRC) and BOM check.\nLayout review & Signal Integrity/Power Integrity: Work closely with PCB layout and SI team to review component placement, routing, signal/power integrity results and ensure compliance with design requirements.\n Bench Bring-Up & Lab Testing: Perform hands-on bring-up, signal verification, and function testing, and design validation test (DVT). Use software tools in multiple operating systems.\nCross-Functional Debug & Support: Collaborate with cross-function teams on design process, trouble shoot hardware/software issues and support debug on production and customer issues.\n Documentation & Data Analysis: Provide clear documents and strong technical supports to the contract manufacturers and production department during the product samples and production stages. Create and maintain bill of materials (BOMs), test procedures, validation reports, and issue-tracking logs.\nQualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.\nExperience: 0-2 years of hardware development experience focusing on board-level design. Experience on server board is a plus.\n Technical Proficiencies:Solid knowledge of circuit design and computer architecture.\nHands-on proficiency with schematic capture and EDA design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL / OrCAD Capture, Altium Designer).\nComprehensive knowledge on the PCB layout, debugging tools and software.\nPractical laboratory test and measurement skills using digital oscilloscopes, current probes.\nFamiliarity with management interfaces and buses (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART).\nBasic knowledge of DC-DC power converter, protection circuitry (OVP, OCP, UVP).\nPCIe high-speed signal design related knowledge.\nOutstanding problem-solving capabilities and strong debugging skills.\n\nCommunication & Collaboration:Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and a willing to learn and adapt to new technologies.\nStrong teamwork and communication skills.\nEffective verbal/written technical communication skills.\n\nSalary Range\n$90,000 - $105,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
