We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.\nJob Summary:\nSupermicro is seeking a Power Supply Design Engineer who can contribute to product design, review, and validation of server power supply and related products. The ideal engineer will not just collaborate with the engineering team, but will be hands-on, and shall have 2+ years ITE server power supply design experiences, cover PFC, flyback, LLC, phase shift, power sharing, OringFET applications in mass production with records. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist product managers as needed in product design and development.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\nAbility to perform schematics design, BOM generation, debugging and testing of power supply\nResearch, analyze and recommend new power supply design approaches\nPlan project, manage schedule and work to meet TTM (Time to market), reduce cost and improve product quality\nEvaluate current and future high efficiency & compact power supply design and recommend design modifications or enhancements to eliminate design roadblocks, improve product performance, and product quality\nCollaborate with system or lab validation testing engineers to discover and resolve any design, signal integrity, or quality related issues\nCreate and review technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.\nSupport other teams & FAE for technical support and perform failure analysis\nSupport sales to fix customer's problem\nSupport Power Supply Product Manager for technical support\nEvaluate and debug design prototypes on the bench and generate detailed engineering reports of findings and recommendations\nQualifications:\nBSEE/MSEE with 2+ years of direct experience with AC to DC server power supply design\nAbilities to work independently in a highly efficient way to achieve design goals with quality, efficiency, and with minimal supervision\nStrong analytical/problem solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills\nSelf-motivated, team player with ability to work in fast-paced environment\nHigh power density (30W~60W/cubic inch) design experienced is desired\npower supply design experiences in resonant/redundant power supply is desired\nFamiliar with simulation tools such as PSIM, PSPICE, Mathcad, Matlab and experience with I2C or PMbus interface\nProfessional in power supply circuit analysis, simulation, and debugging\nComprehensive knowledge of using new power devices\nExperienced in high power transformer design\nExperience with quality control aspect (ex. DFM, FMEA) for power supply manufacturing or design is desired\nSalary Range\n$110,000 - $120,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
