The ST will work exclusively at customer site to resolve and repair server systems. The ST are a critical part of post-sales support and need to be able to demonstrate exceptional technical aptitude in working with server products in addition to excellent interpersonal skills.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\nPrimarily work in a Datacenter environment at customer site.\nProvide on-premise field repair at customer facility\nAbility to work flexible hours and/or flexible shifts including weekends and holidays if needed\nDetermines requirements and/or root cause of technical issues by working with customers in person.\nAnswers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information.\nHands-on work on servers and computers/networking equipment.\nResolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.\nFulfills requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests.\nEnsure escalation situations are managed and corrected quickly and professionally.\nDrive customer satisfaction through service excellence.\nWork with other engineers, account managers and developers.\nProvide and contribute information such as fault triage and training materials.\nAttend and complete all required training and certification exams.\nLearn to be proficient in service and repair of all systems (current, new, and updates).\nQualifications:\nAssociates or Bachelors degree preferred\nHands on experience with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP) is a plus\nExperience in talking with customers and conflict resolution\nTouch-type 40+ WPM.\nRelevant experience, including military experience or CLEP may be counted towards degree\nBackground in Linux or networking is a plus\nCan travel 15 days per year\nMust have authorization to work in the US without sponsorship\nSalary Range\nEEO Statement\nSupermicro is an Equal Opportunity Employer and embraces diversity in our employee population.
