We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.\nJob Summary:\nSupermicro is seeking a Sr. Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of server/workstation system products for cloud and data center infrastructure. This is a key product management role focused on server/storage product solutions where communication among remote teams and on-site product leadership for our development teams is critical to develop and enable operations to fulfill roadmap expectation. In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems, product manager is expected to collaborate with marketing and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. As a product manager, you will use strong technical and communication skills towards product definition strategy for Supermicro's core product family including research into vertical-based customer solutions and creation of aggressive go-to market plan. Ultimately, Product Manager will become a core member of the server product management team and engage in technical, product development.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\nServer solutions hands on and lab activities:\nAssemble systems (GPU, CPU, Motherboard, Memory, Storage and Networking).\nRoot cause diagnosis: identify and analyze the root cause of system failures, isolating specific components or failure nodes to implement effective solutions with Engineering. \nTest Automation: utilize basic scripting skills to automate validation tests, increasing efficiency in testing processes. \nLinux operating system level benchmarking, validation, testing, driver and software stack testing and debugging. This includes test scripts development.\nGenerate and publish comprehensive test reports, effectively communicating findings and insights to team members.\nFamiliar with Computer Science architecture and experienced in NVQual, MLPerf, CUDA is a Plus.\nParticipate in the product development cycles, from concept through launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality.\nCross-functional project work: engage with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Component Managers, etc. on assigned projects to ensure cohesive development and implementation. \nWork with product managers, system engineers and production to manage the product life cycle (from design to EOL phase), and help production to solve any system level issuesDefine and develop application benchmarks based on enterprise storage requirements and generic server architecture.\n\nProactively engage in learning and researching new technologies and products to propose new Proof of Concepts.\nQualifications:\nBachelor or Master's degree in EE, CE, CS or ME with minimum of 8 years working experiences\nStrong knowledge in enterprise server architecture. Previous experience in server product development is a plus\nStrong knowledge in server architecture (including PCIe, SATA, and SAS protocols) and OS applications, and knowledge in vSAN is a plus\nKnowledge in benchmarks(FIO/IOMeter/vdbench), in-band and OOB (IPMI/BIOS) management is a plus\nExperiences in Windows and Linux OS and scripting languages (python, JavaScript, Visual Basic) are a plus\nProficiency in using hand and power tools for hardware installation\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nSalary Range\n$160,000 - $185,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
