We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.\nJob Summary:\nSupermicro is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead operations, program, and project management for the Network Switching Total Solutions team. You will own the team’s operating model, which covers how the team plans, commits, delivers, and improves. You will also run the program portfolio across all customers, partners, and internal engagements, and manage individual projects from intake to verified close.\nIn this role you will:\nDesign, run, and enforce the operating model and team cadence: daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.\n\nManage a portfolio of concurrent programs and projects with clear owners, acceptance criteria, dates, and dependencies across the US, Taiwan, and India.\n\nTrack every commitment, flag risks before dates slip, and escalate with an agreed recovery plan.\n\nReport delivery performance and progress toward the team’s mission to senior leadership.\n\nDrive continuous improvement through root-cause reviews and process changes.\n\nThis role is based at Supermicro headquarters in San Jose, CA.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\nBuild the Operating Model: Turn the team charter, service catalog, role matrix, processes, and templates into one documented system, with a named owner and a current version for each piece.\n\nRun the Team Cadence: Lead daily commitment board reviews, weekly check-ins with written recaps, monthly business reviews, and quarterly business reviews with senior leadership.\n\nEnforce Standards: Audit adherence to the operating model every week, report gaps to the Senior Director with an owner for each fix, and hold the team to its agreed standards.\n\nCommitment Tracking: Own every commitment board and service catalog request. Log each ask within one business day with an owner, acceptance criteria, and a due date, and close it only with acceptance evidence attached. Nothing is deleted.\n\nRisk and Escalation: Flag at-risk dates before they slip and agree on a new date with the requestor.\n\nCross-Functional Dependencies: Chase open dependencies with product management, testing, RACK, SONiC, and the teams in Taiwan and India until they clear.\n\nReporting: Publish a weekly report of commitments met, at risk, and missed, along with progress toward the mission and mission objectives.\n\nRoot-Cause Review and Process Improvement: Review every missed commitment within five business days, find the cause, and record the process change in the operating model.\n\nTraining Coordination: Plan and schedule the team training program, assign an owner to each session, and track completion.\n\nQualifications:\n8+ years in operations management, program management, project management, or PMO roles, ideally in networking, data center, or AI infrastructure organizations.\n\nBachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n\nProven track record designing processes, templates, and operating rhythms that teams actually adopt.\n\nStrong command of Smartsheet or a comparable work management tool, including dashboards and reporting.\n\nExperience managing many concurrent projects and dependencies across functions and time zones (US, Taiwan, India).\n\nStrong communication and leadership: clear written and verbal communication, the ability to hold peers and senior engineers to agreed standards, and the ability to brief senior executives.\n\nWorking knowledge of data center networking, enough to follow engineering discussions and judge when a dependency is real.\n\nPreferred Certifications (one or more)\nProject management: PMP\n\nProgram management: PgMP or SAFe (Leading SAFe, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe POPM, or SPC)\n\nAgile delivery: PMI-ACP, PSM I/II/III, CSM, A-CSM, or CSP-SM\n\nOperations management: Uptime Institute AOS, or a Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt\n\nSalary Range\n$150,000-$160,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
