We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.\nWhy This Role Matters:\nBe a Leader in a Critical Function: You'll own the strategy and execution of our global insurance program, ensuring we are protected from a wide range of risks and can operate with confidence in a dynamic global market.\nDrive Strategic Decision-Making: Your expertise will directly impact our risk management strategy and guide key decisions across the organization, influencing our ability to pursue new opportunities and achieve our business objectives.\nShape the Future of a Growing Company: As a key leader at a rapidly expanding company, you'll play a vital role in our continued success by proactively identifying and mitigating emerging risks.\nWhat You'll Do:\nRisk Assessment & Mitigation:\nProactively identify and assess a wide range of risks, including those specific to the technology industry, global supply chains, and emerging trends.\nDevelop and implement robust risk management frameworks and protocols to mitigate potential financial losses.\nWork with stakeholders to establish and document processes related to cargo, theft, automobile policy, and others.\nPartner with Logistics to assess shipment risks and establish internal procedures and qualification criteria for shipment insurance requests.\nEvaluate shipping terms, insurance requirements, and risk ownership for domestic and international shipments.\nPolicy Management & Administration:\nManage the procurement and renewal of all insurance policies, ensuring comprehensive coverage at competitive pricing.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of insurance policies, contracts, and claims.\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, including international regulations and data privacy standards.\nReview cargo insurance coverage, quotations, policy terms, limits, deductibles, and exclusions to ensure appropriate protection for high-value shipments.\nClaims Management & Resolution:\nLead the claims management process, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of all claims.\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel and third-party administrators, to investigate and analyze claims.\nAdvocate for the organization's interests in negotiations with insurance carriers.\nManage insurance matters arising from significant customer claims or litigation, including coordination with Legal, brokers, and carriers on applicable coverage, including D&O when appropriate.\nFinancial Management & Reporting:\n Analyze insurance costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.\nPrepare comprehensive reports for senior management on insurance program performance, key risks, emerging issues, and claims experience.\nRelationship Management:\nCultivate strong relationships with brokers, carriers, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders.\nStay informed of market trends and regulatory changes.\nTraining & Development:\nDevelop and deliver training programs to enhance risk awareness and understanding of insurance principles across the organization.\nProvide guidance and support to business units on insurance-related matters.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, or equivalent work experience.\n12+ years of progressive experience in risk management and insurance, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.\nExperience in the technology industry or with companies that manufacture and distribute hardware.\nDeep understanding of insurance principles, coverage types, and claims processes, including international insurance markets.\nProven ability to develop and implement comprehensive global insurance programs.\nExperience working for or directly with insurance companies, with a strong understanding of how insurers evaluate coverage, develop quotations, and manage client claims.\nStrong understanding of domestic and international shipping terms, including Incoterms, carrier responsibilities, and shipment risk transfer.\nHands-on experience managing insurance policies and claims for large-value shipments, including complex claim documentation, negotiation, and settlement.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.\nAbility to thrive and adapt in a fluid environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.\nIndustry certifications such as ARM, CPCU, or CRM.\nExperience in a complex, multinational organization.\nKnowledge of risk management information systems (RMIS).\nExperience with insurance programs for technology companies, including product liability, errors & omissions, and cyber insurance.\nFluency in one or more foreign languages.\nSalary Range\n$135,000 - $180,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
