We have an immediate need for a Staff Hardware Design Engineer to join our talented and bright design team. The candidate will play a key role in the development process of in-house server motherboards, by working collaboratively with cross-functional engineering team as well as outside partners to ensure the robust design of the boards. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess a strong will to do great things, with a result-driven mindset to develop the most competitive and endurance board products.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAs a Staff Hardware Design Engineer who is responsible for completing assigned projects from development through to end of life, including creating schematics, check layout, component survey, specifications and datasheet study, motherboard and system bring up, bug fix, customer issues analyze, even support colleague's projects.\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\nDesigning high speed PCB circuit of Intel/ARM/AMD servers.\nDesigning high speed PCB circuit of high-bandwidth network switching products and PCIe interfaces.\nPerforming all the circuit design by using OrCAD tool.\nKnowing the layout tool Allegro and being able to utilize the tool.\nBe able to join the project spec discussions with PM/ ME/ Thermal and BIOS teams.\nNeed to debug the circuit with digital scope.\nNeed to co-work with validation/ BIOS/ firmware/ software team to solve the issues\nCo-work with validation engineers to solve the issues\nEnsure product conforms to engineering specifications, and regulatory and customer performance expectations.\nTransfer products to manufacturing with clear documentation and help C.M. and technical support to solve problems.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering is preferred. Master's degree is strongly desirable\nMinimum 12 years of experience working with x86 server mother boards is a necessity\nIn-depth knowledge of circuit design (digital, analog, power) and PCB layout\nPrior experiences with motherboard design in enterprise networking servers are strongly desired\nStrong communication, written, oral, and interpersonal skills\nMust have the ability to cowork closely with cross functional teams effectively\nExcellent organizational skills and problem-solving capability\nSelf-motivated, team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment\nPlease note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.\nSalary Range\n$175,000 - $210,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
