This individual will report into our Senior Manager of Total Rewards & Compliance and play an important role in managing and enhancing HR compliance programs, policies, reporting, and processes to ensure alignment with employment laws, workers’ compensation standards, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with leaders and partners across the organization, this role will provide compliance guidance, identify opportunities for process improvements, and support the development and implementation of practices that minimize risk and promote consistency across SupplyHouse. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits - our doors are always open.\nRole Type: Full-Time, Exempt\nLocation: Remote \nSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with time zone flexibility \nBase Salary: The expected starting salary for the position is $73,655 to $92,069 within a full position range of $73,655to $110,482 annually. This range reflects the long-term earning potential for the role. Our starting pay practice is the minimum to middle portion of the range, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal equity, consistent with applicable law and it is rare for a new hire to start above the midpoint.\nResponsibilities:\nManage employee relations activities for the remote office team including corrective action, performance improvement plans, internal investigations, employee terminations\nAdvise HR and management regarding compliance with existing state and federal laws and new/pending legislation relating to Compensation, HR, Payroll and Benefits\nEnsure compliance with FMLA, ADA, PFL, FLI, STD, LTD and other applicable legal, state, and federal regulations such as EEO, employment and labor laws\nMaintain HR Compliance processes and policies and collaborate with partners across the organization to ensure compliance\nCreate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance policies and programs\nPartner with HR, Fulfillment, Customer Service, and corporate teams in areas of new hire requirements (i.e., I-9, work authorizations, immigration, etc.), ADA accommodations, Workers Compensation, Employment Background Checks, Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing, etc.\nConduct internal audits to identify areas of potential risk and implement process improvement in all areas related to HR Compliance\nMaintain employee record retention policies and standards and ensures compliance\nMaintain company handbook, state supplements, and standalone policies and act as the subject matter expert when questions arise\nConduct annual handbook review and update policies as necessary\nManage the labor law subscription and notice updates across the company\nPartner with stakeholders on key reporting and analysis needs, including EEOC reporting\nStay current on state and local employment laws, regulations, and legislative developments\nParticipate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field\n3+ years of experience in a HR Generalist, HRBP, Employee Relations, or Compliance role\nExperience managing employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations\nExceptional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor\nHigh degree of integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive data\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nResourceful self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint\nWhy work with us: \n We have awesome benefits - We offer a wide variety of benefits to help support you and your loved ones.
