This individual will report into our Outbound Manager and oversee daily picking, packing, and shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time. This role will lead and support our Outbound associates, coordinate staffing and workflow based on order volume, and help resolve operational challenges related to automation, warehouse management systems, carriers, and customer orders. Working closely with fulfillment leadership, Customer Service, and other cross-functional partners, this individual will identify opportunities for process improvements, drive operational efficiency, and support departmental performance goals. This range reflects the long-term earning potential for the role. Our starting pay practice is the minimum to middle portion of the range, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal equity, consistent with applicable law and it is rare for a new hire to start above the midpoint.\nSchedule: This role oversees an operation that runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET. While this position generally follows a schedule Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, operational demands during peak and seasonal periods may require leaders to work additional hours beyond their regular schedule. Leaders are expected to maintain a flexible schedule and adjust their working hours as needed to support the business and their teams.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee daily picking and packing operations to ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately, safely, and on time\nWave orders, assign associates to picking and packing stations, and move labor between pick, pack, and ship throughout the shift to balance workload and meet volume.\nBuild and execute shift labor plans using volume forecasts, adjusting staffing by area as conditions change\nOversee AMR-assisted picking operations: enforce AMR safety zones and e-stop procedures, monitor fleet performance, and resolve common faults, escalating to Maintenance, IT, or the vendor when required\nTroubleshoot WMS and system issues (stuck orders, wave or batch errors, short picks, label reprints) and partner with systems teams to resolve recurring problems\nCoordinate carrier pick-ups and complete end-of-day close and manifesting, escalating late or missed trucks\nServe as the Outbound point of contact for Customer Service on expedites, customer-specific requirements, and order escalations\nMonitor and maintain packing supply inventory, ensuring timely ordering and availability\nTrack individual/team KPIs (UPH/LPH, DPMO, order accuracy), monitor productivity, and provide regular coaching and feedback\nEnsure team members are trained on operational, safety, automation, and organizational processes by partnering with the Training Team\nConduct bi-monthly one-on-ones with team members to build rapport, review progress, and support growth\nAddress personnel/performance issues promptly, ensure timecards and time-off requests are accurate, and maintain required documentation in the HRM system\nParticipate in HR leadership meetings, provide updates, and align with departmental goals\nMaintain site hygiene and 5S standards, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and execute projects assigned by the Outbound Manager\nModel professionalism, accountability, and company values in all interactions and decisions\nRequirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\n2+ years of leadership experience in a fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution environment\nFundamental understanding of inventory, supply chain, and logistics concepts\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Outlook, and Excel)\nStrong problem-solving and time management skills, with high attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work independently, multitask, and follow standard processes/procedures\nComfort learning and using technology, including WMS, RF/handheld devices, and automated material handling systems\nAbility to push and pull objects up to 60 pounds of force independentlyEmployees are expected to seek help or use appropriate equipment to ensure safety for any task involving pushing or pulling that exceeds 60 pounds\n\nAbility to stand and walk for up to 8-10 hours and up to 20,000 steps per day\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociates degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Administration, or a related field\nPrior supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse/distribution environment, ideally across picking and packing\nExperience working alongside AMRs, goods-to-person, or other warehouse automation, including basic troubleshooting and escalation\nExperience using a WMS to manage waves, order exceptions, and carrier manifesting\nFamiliarity with labor planning and performance metrics such as UPH/LPH and DPMO\nFamiliarity with Lean and 5S principles\nFamiliarity with safety standards and OSHA compliance in warehouse operations\nWhy work with us: \n We have awesome benefits - We offer a wide variety of benefits to help support you and your loved ones.
