If you're passionate about building relationships and driving growth at a fast-growing SaaS company, we'd love to talk with you\nWho we are looking for:\nWe're seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help champion quality across the stack and throughout the SDLC. You'll work cross-functionally to promote testing best practices throughout the entire testing pyramid, helping teams build reliable unit, integration, and E2E tests. You'll also take ownership of building and scaling automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.\nBeyond automation, you'll be a key voice in both shift-level (early, embedded testing) and shift-right (Observability, testing in production, user behavior, validation) quality strategies--working to ensure quality doesn't stop at CI, but continues into real-world usage.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with engineers, PMs, DevOps, and other SDETs to define and implement holistic test strategies across unit, integration, and E2E levels.\n\nBuild and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.\n\nHelp shift quality left by embedding testability and validation early in the design and development process.\n\nHelp shift quality right by integrating observability tools, monitoring key use flows in production, and validating real-world performance and resilience.\n\nSupport and advise on unit and service-level test implementation across frontend and backend teams.\n\nImprove test feedback loops by maintaining reliable and fast pipelines in CI/CD.\n\nIdentify gaps in coverage, flakiness, and performance issues across the test ecosystem and lead efforts to address them.\n\nEnsure test environments and data strategies are scalable, reproducible, and representative of production.\n\nExperience and Professional Qualifications:\n5+ years in an SDET, QA Automation, or Software Engineering role with a strong focus on testing.\n\nSolid experience with TypeScript and PlayWright (or similar browser automation frameworks).\n\nStrong understanding of testing across the pyramid: unit, component, integration, E2E.\n\nExperience with AWS and cloud-native application architectures.\n\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test integration with tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, or similar.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate across disciplines.\n\nAdditional Preferred Qualifications:\nExperience with contract testing, mocking strategies, and service virtualization.\n\nFamiliarity with shift-right testing practices, such as synthetic monitoring, canary releases, A/B testing, or chaos testing.\n\nFamiliarity with tools for performance testing, observability, or synthetic monitoring (e.g., Elastic, k6, Artillery, Datadog).\n\nUnderstanding of feature flagging and progressive delivery workflows.\n\nExperience with AI Evals or tooling like Braintrust\n\nAt Suralink, our values guide everything we do:\nCustomer Obsessed: We seek to understand those we serve deeply and are committed to serving them better than anyone else.\n\nPassionately Motivated: We care about what we do, which drives us to work hard, show grit, and go above and beyond to achieve great outcomes.\n\nConstantly Improving: We are eager to learn and grow.
