The Estimator will be responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates, including materials and labor. This will include collecting and analyzing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors during the bidding process to obtain the complete bid package pricing and qualification information. \nWhat You'll Be Doing\nCreate and/or coordinate the preparation of full cost electrical and instrumentation estimates. \nPrepare materials, labor and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out a project according to proposals, plans, estimates and specifications.\nAnalyze bid packages to ensure completeness, accuracy and adherence to deadlines. \nEvaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, design unknowns, escalation and contingency. \nPresent estimates and conduct review meetings with internal stakeholders and clients. \nReview proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. \nMaintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates. \nParticipate in discussions on the bid strategies required for the company to be successful. \nReview final estimate packages prior to submission. \nCollaborate with other team members to determine costs related to RFI’s and additional work orders. \nParticipate in project kickoff and project closeout meetings. \nWhat You Need to Succeed\nJourneyman Electrician or Instrumentation. \nMinimum 2 years estimating experience\nExperience with Accubid considered an asset. \nProficient with Microsoft Office (excel, outlook, word, etc.) \nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. \nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail. \nEffective verbal and listening communications skills. \nOutstanding organization and time management skills. \nCollaborative in dealing with team members and clients. \nEstablish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization as well as customers. \nAble to adapt to changing circumstances. \nMust be able to work under pressure of deadlines. \nSome travel may be
