Job Overview
The Drafter is responsible for producing accurate CAD drawings and documentation for BesCutter laser cutting equipment. This position supports engineering and manufacturing efforts by developing layouts, detail drawings, assemblies, bills of material, and installation documentation. The Drafter collaborates with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are completed efficiently and accurately while meeting customer specifications and company standards. The role requires a strong understanding of CAD software, mechanical drafting principles, and the ability to interpret engineering requirements to support the successful manufacture and installation of industrial laser cutting systems.
Responsibilities and Duties

- Assist the Directing Engineer in the technical development of engineering assignments involving the design of products, test facilities, schematic wiring, and assemblies used in the manufacture of company products and related equipment.
- Develop basic sketches and notes to complete designs, prepare layouts, sectional or subassembly drawings, bills of material and specifications.
- Develop and analyze technical data including specifications, dimensions, tolerances, controls, weight, material strength, and stress analysis.
- Work independently on standard and less complex designs or modifications as required.
- Capable of making complete drawings in all disciplines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree with 3-5 years of drafting experience, or equivalent experience and education.
- CAD Certificate / CAD Technology / Engineering Design
