Work with teams to implement fixes and config changes to protect the organisation;\n\nMonitor and investigate alerts, distinguish between genuine security incidents and false positives before escalating to specialized teams.\n\nAnd you can check off:\nSOC experience in Threat Intelligence or Detection Engineering;\n\nStrong querying skills: write complex queries in KQL, SQL, SPL, or Lucene. Not only relying on pre-built dashboards;\n\nScripting in Python or Bash. Automate triage tasks, interact with security APIs, deploy custom detections;\n\nExperience writing detection rules and alerts for HIDS, SIEM, or cloud workload protection platforms;\n\nUnderstanding logging architecture in cloud, next-gen firewalls, and Linux;\n\nHands-on experience with enterprise XDR/EDR;\n\nAnalytical mindset.
