This position is responsible for performing die changes, preparing materials, troubleshooting die and press issues, and inspecting finished parts to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.\nThe ideal candidate has experience with metal stamping dies, press setup, die changeovers, and manufacturing equipment, with a strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and production efficiency.\nSchedule\nHours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM\nPay: Based on experience\nKey Responsibilities\nSet up, install, and secure dies in manual and automatic metal stamping presses.\nCoordinate and pre-stage dies, tools, materials, and equipment required for die changes and press setups.\nPerform die changeovers efficiently and ensure all components are properly installed and ready for production.\nLoad metal coils and feed material into dies as required by the operation.\nSelect and adjust press speeds, feed rates, and machine settings based on the operation, material type, and production requirements.\nTroubleshoot die, tooling, and press-related issues in coordination with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other team members.\nRecommend process, tooling, and equipment adjustments to improve product quality and meet company standards and customer specifications.\nInspect stamped parts for defects and measure components to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.\nPerform first-piece inspections following press setups as required by Quality Assurance or supervisory direction.\nComplete all required production and quality documentation accurately, including inspection data sheets and die inspection logs.\nMonitor press operation and promptly report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or other production issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.\nOperate a forklift as needed to transport, stage, and position dies and related equipment.\nMaintain an organized and clean work area and properly maintain tools, equipment, and die-setting materials.\nFollow all company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, including the use of gloves, protective sleeves, hearing protection, and other required equipment.\nQualifications and Skills\nPrevious experience in metal stamping, die setting, press setup, or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.\nFamiliarity with manual and automatic stamping presses and metal stamping dies.\nAbility to perform die changes, adjust press settings, and troubleshoot tooling or equipment issues.\nAbility to read and follow work instructions, production requirements, and quality specifications.\nAbility to use measuring tools and inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and defects.\nBasic understanding of manufacturing quality standards and production documentation.\nForklift operating experience is preferred.\nStrong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work safely, maintain an organized workspace, and communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and production team members.\nWork Environment\nThis position operates in a manufacturing and metal stamping environment with industrial presses, tooling, and material-handling equipment.
