This position is responsible for operating laser cutting equipment to produce accurate, high-quality metal parts according to production specifications.\nThe ideal candidate has experience operating CNC laser machinery, working with sheet metal, and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings. Candidates with a strong manufacturing background and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.\nKey Responsibilities\nSet up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce sheet metal components.\nLoad materials and monitor machine operations throughout production runs.\nReview blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure parts meet specifications.\nVerify cut dimensions and inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.\nMake basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain production quality.\nIdentify equipment issues, cutting defects, or material discrepancies and report them appropriately.\nFollow production schedules and maintain consistent workflow.\nKeep the machine and work area clean, organized, and safe.\nFollow established safety procedures when handling sheet metal and operating machinery.\nWork with production team members to meet quality and output goals.\nQualifications\nPrevious experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment preferred.\nExperience in metal fabrication, sheet metal manufacturing, or CNC machine operation is a plus.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings preferred.\nBasic understanding of measurements, dimensions, and quality inspection.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate parts.\nMechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nDependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new processes\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
