This role is responsible for assisting with machine setup and operation, training team members, maintaining quality and safety standards, and helping ensure production goals are met.\nThe ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve production issues.\nResponsibilities\nTrain and assist associates with machine operation, preventative maintenance assignments, and cross-training.\nSet up and operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.\nLead and support associates on production lines, filling in when needed.\nMonitor equipment performance, clear machine faults, and restart equipment promptly.\nInspect and measure parts and products to ensure they meet quality specifications.\nReport quality concerns to the Team Leader or Production Manager.\nMaintain accurate production records, paperwork, and data entry.\nMonitor attendance, production progress, and scrap records.\nEnsure scrap is recorded and disposed of properly and complete daily rework as needed.\nMaintain 5S standards and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.\nAssist associates with troubleshooting production problems and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nHelp maintain production efficiency and support team goals.\nTake responsibility for the safety of associates in the assigned area during emergencies.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent and two years of manufacturing experience preferred. Relevant experience may be accepted in place of education.\nPrevious manufacturing leadership or team lead experience preferred.\nStrong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nBasic math skills and the ability to read work instructions and reports.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.\nAbility to work effectively with a team and support cross-functional departments.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand for extended periods, potentially for the entire shift.\nFrequent use of hands to operate equipment and perform production tasks.\nAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout the manufacturing facility.\nAbility to lift up to 80 pounds.\nAbility to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.\nWork Environment\nThis position works in a manufacturing environment and requires awareness of potential workplace and environmental hazards.
