The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, proven experience with plastic injection molding equipment, and the ability to lead technical problem-solving efforts to minimize downtime and keep production running efficiently.\nResponsibilities\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain plastic injection molding machines, automation systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment.\nDiagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.\nTroubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, AC drives, and 480V electrical systems.\nPerform preventive maintenance, equipment installations, and emergency repairs.\nIdentify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.\nFollow safety procedures and promote a safe work environment in compliance with applicable requirements.\nProvide technical guidance and support to maintenance and production teams.\nPrioritize maintenance tasks and coordinate repairs to support production schedules.\nQualifications & Requirements\nProven hands-on experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding machines and automation systems.\nStrong knowledge of 480V electrical systems, motor controls, AC drives, and electrical troubleshooting.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.\nBasic PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.\nExperience with machine shop tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools.\nStrong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound maintenance decisions.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to provide technical support to team members.\nWillingness to work occasional nights and weekends as needed to support manufacturing operations.\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
