The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical expertise, hands-on injection molding experience, and the ability to lead technical problem-solving efforts while minimizing equipment downtime.\nResponsibilities\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding machines, automation systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment.\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.\nSupport PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, and 480V electrical systems.\nPerform preventive maintenance, equipment installations, and repairs.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and costs.\nPromote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety procedures.\nProvide technical guidance to maintenance and production teams.\nQualifications & Requirements\nProven experience repairing plastic injection molding and automation systems.\nStrong knowledge of 480V motor controls, AC drives, and electrical troubleshooting.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.\nBasic PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.\nExperience using machine shop tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools.\nStrong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and support occasional off-shift needs.\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
