Strong math skills, blueprint reading, and experience using precision measuring instruments are essential.\nPay Rate: Low to mid-$20s per hour, negotiable based on experience.\nShift: 1st Shift\nKey Responsibilities\nSet up, adjust, and operate stamping presses equipped with progressive dies.\nPerform press setups and verify proper die alignment and operation before production runs.\nOperate stamping presses ranging from 100 to 800+ tons.\nMonitor production runs to ensure parts meet quality specifications and production requirements.\nRead and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and dimensional specifications.\nUse micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect stamped parts.\nApply basic math skills to verify measurements, tolerances, and production requirements.\nIdentify quality issues, troubleshoot basic press and die problems, and communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel.\nFollow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.\nSupport production goals by maintaining consistent part quality and minimizing downtime.\nRequired Qualifications\nPrevious experience setting up and operating progressive dies in the metal stamping industry.\nExperience operating stamping presses ranging from 100 to 800+ tons.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.\nProficiency using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.\nStrong basic math skills and attention to detail.\nGood mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nExcellent attendance and a dependable work history.\nAbility to meet applicable background screening requirements.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe successful candidate is a reliable, safety-conscious manufacturing professional who understands progressive die stamping and can perform press setups with minimal supervision.
