This role focuses on vehicle software flashing, basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting, and diagnostic data collection. You will identify and document issues, perform initial triage, and collaborate with remote engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform vehicle software flashing, updates, and post-update verification.\nTroubleshoot basic vehicle electrical/electronic issues and review diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).\nCollect diagnostic data and conduct initial root-cause investigations.\nDocument vehicle issues, troubleshooting steps, and results accurately.\nCoordinate with remote engineers on advanced diagnostics and vehicle recovery.\nTrack vehicle status and maintain a safe, organized work environment.\nQualifications & Requirements\n0-3+ years of experience in automotive diagnostics, vehicle service, software flashing, validation, or a related technical field.\nGeneral knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems and CAN vehicle networks.\nHands-on experience with diagnostic scan tools, digital multimeters, or CAN diagnostic tools.\nAbility to follow technical procedures and clearly document findings.\nValid driver's license and ability to safely operate vehicles.\nComfortable working onsite independently and collaborating with remote engineering teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with ECU/module flashing, automotive software updates, or vehicle troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with CANalyzer, CANoe, CDA, Dianalyzer, Diagalyser, or similar diagnostic tools.\nAbility to interpret basic wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.\nExperience supporting prototype, pre-production, manufacturing, or vehicle validation activities.\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
