The technician position will be responsible for the handling of medical devices and the coating of medical devices with Surmodics proprietary polymers.\nResponsibilities\nManufacturing (% Varies)\nPrepare and inspect materials for coating operations\nPerform Dip Coating operations and verification activities\nPerform Curing operations and verification activities\n Manufacturing Support (% Varies)\nMeasure dimensions of material to verify conformance to specifications\nVisually inspection materials to ensure quality of raw and finished medical device products\nRead procedures to determine product specifications or material requirements\nRecord operational or production data in accordance with Good Documentation Practices to ensure quality\nLabel or mark production or equipment with identifying information\nTrain technicians on certified operations\nReconciliation of batch records\nBusiness Strategy (% Varies) \nAssist coating engineers with feasibility activities\nReview procedures and provide feedback on feasibility to be performed until commercial release requirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n2+ years Medical Device manufacturing experience\nGood Documentation Practices experience\nResearch and Development production experience\nIntermediate computer skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong attention to detail\nGood interpersonal skills\nAbility to read and interpret documents\nSurmodics determines base pay by evaluating market data, internal equity, skills, abilities and level of experiences for each unique, potential employee. \nSurmodics offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a bonus program, 401(k) with employer match, tuition reimbursement and student debt repayment program.\nSurmodics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
