We see EV charging infrastructure as a catalyst for the green transition.\nThe Team:\nJoin our fully remote team working across three countries, bringing together a diverse group of experts with extensive experience in climate change, mapping science, Earth Observation Technologies, green finance, and advanced technology. As a part of SurplusMap, you'll be collaborating with a senior team committed to driving impactful change.\nThe Role:\nAs a Full Stack Developer at SurplusMap, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of green infrastructure projects. You will work on all aspects of our product, focusing on:\nDeveloping our web application that allows decision-makers to filter and score sites using complex map visualizations.\nEnhancing our collaboration platform by building features like a commenting/review system to facilitate teamwork.\nPrototyping machine learning algorithms to extract relevant data from satellite imagery for grid and transport networks.\nArchitecting and developing highly scalable web applications that handle complex data infrastructures and AI models, including machine learning (ML) predictions, geospatial data processing, and leveraging large language models (LLMs).\nKey Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design, build, and ship new features from scratch.\nEvaluate and improve the performance, durability, and security of applications in production.\nTake ownership of tasks, ensuring features are developed from start to finish.\nProvide and receive constructive feedback during code reviews to enhance team performance.\nWork on projects in an Agile environment, utilizing 2-week sprints for iterative development.\nRequirements:\nExcellent written and spoken English skills.\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript, GCP, and React.\nExperience in programming complex systems from scratch and writing maintainable, scalable code.\nAbility to work with AI models, machine learning predictions, and complex data infrastructures.\nExperience with geospatial data processing and leveraging large language models (LLMs).\nThorough testing skills and a commitment to improving the work environment.\nEnjoyment of remote work and collaboration in a virtual team setting.\nBonus Points:\nExperience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).\nYou live in
