As part of the Optical Payloads group, you'll collaborate closely with other members of the Optical Department and the core satellite mission team, interacting with technical leads across multiple disciplines to create innovative solutions.\nKey Responsibilities:\n· Lead verification, testing, and debugging of imager electronics for SSTL Optical Payloads\n· Develop and execute test plans for digital, analogue, and mixed-signal electronics\n· Perform detailed circuit-level debugging using lab equipment and diagnostic tools\n· Conduct board-level validation, characterisation, and performance assessment\n· Support design teams by reviewing schematics and layouts, ensuring testability and robustness\n· Carry out circuit simulations and analysis to support verification activities\n· Prepare electronics for manufacture and acceptance testing, ensuring compliance with space-environment requirements\n· Design and maintain Electronics Ground Support Equipment with a focus on test automation and repeatability\n· Produce high-quality technical documents, including test procedures, validation reports, and test results\n· Maintain technical solutions, budgets, and schedules relating to verification and test activities\n· Interface at system and subsystem level to ensure appropriate test coverage and traceability throughout the project lifecycle\n· Work closely within a core project team to support integration, AIT, and commissioning phases\nWhat We're Looking For:\n· 2-3 years of experience in electronics verification, testing, and debugging (or electronics design with strong test focus)\n· Experience in mixed-signal circuit testing and validation\n· Strong proficiency with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, signal generators, etc.)\n· Familiarity with Mentor tools is a plus\n· Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or TCL for test automation\n· Understanding of FPGA design and verification in VHDL\n· Strong fault-finding skills and an analytical approach to diagnosing complex issues\nQualifications, Skills & Attributes:\n· A degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering\n· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills\n· Ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate at all levels\n· Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive\n· Strong team player with the ability to interface with others at all levels\n· Good presentation and customer-facing skills\n· Results-oriented with a strong drive to deliver\n· Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities\n· Excellent planning and organizing skills\n· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously\n· Able to work autonomously and take initiative\n· Strong decision-making and creative problem-solving skills\n· Proven ability to deliver solutions under pressure and tight timescales\n· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project)\n· Demonstrates company mindsets and behaviours: Be accountable, Drive & deliver, communicate effectively, Self-manage effectively, Work as one team\n· Not a 100% match?
