We have a network of ten offices with our teams of surveyors and engineers working on some of the UK’s major construction and infrastructure developments.\nAs a Land Surveyor at Survey Solutions, you will work independently completing a full range of small to large scale topographical, measured building and setting out surveys, using innovative technology and processing data in the office to a high working standard. You will be confident working on multi-disciplined survey projects, and will have a competent understanding of various surveying methods and data capture.\nYou will also share your expertise and knowledge with less experienced team members to assist their development, by providing practical experience onsite and office-based work.\nResponsibilities:\nAs a Land Surveyor you will...\nComplete topographical and measured building surveys, of various scale and complexity, independently to a high standard\nTake the lead on large and complex surveying projects, working with team members of various technical ability and experience, to complete the project to a high standard\nWork effectively on projects with trainee, junior and survey technician level staff, assisting with their development by providing practical experience onsite and office work\nProcess multi data sets from various instrumentation to a high working standard, including topographical and measured building data\nContribute effectively to the smooth running of projects with minimum supervision to achieve agreed goals, project outputs and consistently delivering high quality performance\nMaintaining the instrumentation to a high working standard and ensuring its fit for purpose\nUndertake initial site inspections and complete dynamic risk assessments when attending survey sites, reporting any safety issues to the wider surveying team or to management\nRequirements\nThe Person:\nPrevious experience working in the surveying industry (2+ years).\nPrevious experience completing small to large scale topographical surveys, of various complexities, independently\nPrevious experience completing measured building surveys, of various scales or complexities, with laser scanners and/or traditional methods independently\nExperience processing raw survey data and CAD data to a high working standard\nProfessional and approachable manner with excellent communication skills\nExcellent understanding of the importance of health and safety at work in the context of the civil engineering industry and Survey Solutions\nPassionate about pursuing a long-term career with Survey Solutions\nA minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths & English to Grade C level/ Grade 4\nFull UK driving licence.\nAble to commute to our Yeovil office and willing to travel regularly to undertake surveys\nRight to work in the UK\nBenefits\nWhat we can offer you:\n24 days holiday, rising with length of service to 30 days + bank holidays\nLife assurance\nCompany sick pay\nLong service awards\nBirthday gifts\nFlexible holidays\nChristmas bonus\nHealth & wellbeing schemes, including a company wellbeing helpline\nRefer a friend scheme -
