You will work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and learning professionals to transform business requirements into engaging, measurable learning solutions.\nYou'll create interactive e-learning courses, AI-powered simulations, practice environments, assessment tools, and internal applications that help learners develop skills faster and more effectively.\nThis is not a traditional instructional designer role and not a pure software development role. We're seeking someone who is comfortable doing both and can demonstrate proven experience in learning design and production-level software development.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign learning experiences that align with business goals and measurable performance outcomes.\nConvert approved content and learning outlines into storyboards, interaction designs, and fully functional learning solutions.\nDevelop and deploy SCORM and xAPI-compliant e-learning solutions for LMS environments.\nBuild interactive simulations, role-play activities, and AI-powered learning experiences.\nDesign AI-enabled features such as:Virtual customer personas\nAutomated assessment and scoring\nAdaptive feedback mechanisms\nAI coaching and tutoring experiences\n\nDevelop and maintain internal learning tools and applications using modern development frameworks.\nCreate, test, and optimize prompts, structured outputs, and evaluation methods for AI-driven solutions.\nConduct technical and instructional quality assurance for learning content and applications.\nTroubleshoot LMS integrations, learner tracking, bookmarking, completion logic, and reporting issues.\nCollaborate with instructional designers, SMEs, developers, and business stakeholders to translate performance gaps into scalable learning solutions.\nCreate technical documentation, implementation guides, and handoff materials.\nProvide guidance on instructional design best practices and technical feasibility across projects.\n Required Qualifications\nTo be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate experience in both instructional design and software development.\nLearning Design Expertise\nStrong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.\nExperience creating measurable learning objectives and aligning assessments to desired outcomes.\nFamiliarity with instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar models.\nAbility to produce design documentation, storyboards, learning blueprints, and course outlines.\nLearning Technology & LMS Knowledge\nExperience developing or supporting SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, and/or xAPI learning content.\nUnderstanding of LMS functionality, learner tracking, bookmarking, completion status, reporting, and learning records.\nSoftware Development Skills\nHands-on experience developing production-quality applications using:Python\nJavaScript and/or TypeScript\n\nExperience working with APIs, JSON, and modern web technologies.\nKnowledge of Git version control and collaborative development workflows.\nExperience deploying applications using Docker or containerized environments.\nAI & Automation Experience\nExperience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into applications or workflows.\nAbility to design prompts, structured outputs, evaluation methods, and safeguards for AI-powered solutions.\nUnderstanding of responsible and scalable AI implementation practices.\nCommunication & Collaboration\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nComfortable working directly with business leaders, SMEs, designers, and developers.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with any of the following is highly desirable:\nFastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks\nNext.js, React, Remix, Vite, or related front-end frameworks\nStoryline 360 and Rise 360\nRAG implementations, vector databases, agent workflows, or model fine-tuning\nLMS platforms such as Moodle, Cornerstone, Docebo, or SCORM Cloud\nContact center, customer service, BPO, or support operations environments\nPostgreSQL or relational database design\nCI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions\nAccessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508)\nLinux environments and self-hosted solutions\nExperience Guidelines\nIdeally 5+ years of combined experience across instructional design and software development.\nAt least 2 years of experience building and deploying learning technology solutions or comparable software products.\nStrong portfolio demonstrating both:Learning design
