infrastructure and data through automation, monitoring, and proactive defense.\n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPlatform Architecture & Strategy (Senior-focused)\nLead the architecture and deployment of complex multi-cloud solutions (GCP/AWS), including networking, compute, storage, and multi-environment design.\nDefine platform standards and reusable patterns (e.g., Terraform modules, cluster blueprints).\nEvaluate emerging cloud technologies to enhance cloud strategy and roadmap.\nDrive cost optimization and FinOps practices, including right-sizing and governance.\nOwn platform reliability, scalability, capacity planning, and disaster recovery design.\nInfrastructure Provisioning & Automation\nDeploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS.\nWrite and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform primary; CloudFormation/ARM where applicable).\nMaintain multi-environment infrastructure consistency (dev, staging, prod).\nAutomate provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks to reduce manual toil.\nKubernetes & Container Platform\nDesign, operate, and support production-grade Kubernetes clusters (GKE preferred).\nManage upgrades, autoscaling, node pools, namespaces, and RBAC policies.\nOwn Helm/Kustomize standards for application deployment.\nSupport or manage service mesh (Istio) for traffic management, mTLS, observability, and security.\nDefine and promote golden paths for safe and consistent app deployment.\nCI/CD, Monitoring & Operational Support\nBuild and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.\nMonitor platform health using Datadog - metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, and alerts.\nTroubleshoot issues, support incident response, and lead post-incident reviews (senior).\nMaintain runbooks and dashboards; lead or support on-call rotations.\nLeadership & Collaboration (Senior-focused)\nMentor junior and mid-level engineers, set technical direction, and review designs.\nCollaborate effectively with global, cross-functional, and on/offshore teams.\nCommunicate architecture decisions clearly to technical and business stakeholders.\nTECH STACK\nRequired:\nCloud Platforms: GCP (Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, Storage, IAM, Load Balancing), AWS (EC2, EKS, VPC, S3, IAM)\nKubernetes: GKE architecture, upgrades, Helm/Kustomize, autoscaling, RBAC\nInfrastructure as Code: Terraform (multi-environment, reusable modules, remote state)\nCI/CD: GitLab pipeline development and support\nMonitoring: Datadog (metrics, logs, traces, alerting, SLOs)\nService Mesh: Istio (traffic management, mTLS, observability)\nGood to have:\nGitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)\nCloud FinOps tooling and cost optimization experience\nScripting languages (Python, Go, Bash)\nVault, Packer, service catalogs, and self-service platforms\nExperience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001)\n REQUIREMENTS\nMust have:\nPlatform Engineer: 3+ years in cloud infrastructure/platform or DevOps engineering.\nSenior Platform Engineer: 8+ years, with leadership or architect-level responsibilities.\nDeep, hands-on expertise with GCP and/or AWS cloud platforms.\nStrong Kubernetes production experience, preferably GKE.\nExpert-level Terraform skills with reusable modules and multi-env IaC.\nProven CI/CD automation experience at scale.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex cloud environment issues.\nCollaborative teamwork mindset with clear communication skills.\nNice to have:\nCertifications: Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).\nExperience with GitOps and progressive delivery techniques.\nPrior FinOps or cloud cost optimization role experience.\nScripting for
