This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and uninterrupted flow of materials across our clinical supply chain.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of managing complex logistics operations in a regulated environment. They will bring strong operational expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, accountability, and integrity. This individual will play a key role in supporting manufacturing, research, and development activities by ensuring the timely movement and control of critical materials and products.\nWe are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients, both as individuals and as part of a team.The position will be based in Sutro’s, South San Franciscosite.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee all receivingand shipping operations\nManage inbound receipts, inspect shipments for damage, verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders, and ensure accurate transactions in the ERP system\nCoordinate the storage, distribution, and transportation of cGMP materials between internal facilities, CMOs, CDMOs, and external partners\nManage all shipping requests,ensuring timely execution and proactive communication of shipment status and completion timelines\nOperates the Delivery Management System (including geographic design of service area) and daily delivery operations which entails order fulfillment, fleet/carrier management, pick-up and returned goods processing, and compliance operations \nPlan and oversee domestic and international shipments of temperature-sensitive materials, clinical supplies, samples, and products, ensuring proper packaging, environmental controls, documentation, and import/export regulatory compliance\nMaintain and continuously improve distribution network performance and transportation efficiency\nPartner with logistics providers and carriers to ensure efficient, compliant, and on-time delivery of critical materials\nDevelop, monitor and reportkey performance indicators(On-time Shipment, On-time delivery, transportation costs)\nEstablish, implement, and enforce shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling policies, procedures, and best practices\nDrive continuous improvement of indirect inventory managementof laboratory supplies, control and space utilization using lean, 5S and problem-solving tools\nCollaborates with environmental, health and safety (EH&S), to ensurecompliance withsafetyregulations and site-specific procedures\nDrive and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy through cycle counts and transaction integrity\nManages off-site GMP storage locations and maintains an inventory tracking system \nDevelops and maintains Shipping/Receiving/Transaction/Inventory Control/Material Transfer procedures and job specific standard work\nProvide guidance and safety compliance for transfer of hazardous waste, where applicable. Coordinate with Facilities for pickup and transfer of hazardous waste\nSupports site-wide strategic plan initiatives, key principles, and activities.\nResponsible for ordering and management of shipping supplies\nManage Costco receipts, delivery to point-of-use locations and bi-weekly replenishments \nManage inventory of all printing paper in each dedicated location, ensuring zerostock-outs\nManage outgoing mail with USPS, ordering supplies and coordinating maintenance on an as needed basis\nQualifications:\nBachelor’sdegree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred\n5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, inventory management and supply chain operations\nExperience operating within cGMP-regulated biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments\nDemonstrated experience managing inbound and outbound logistics operations, including domestic and international shipments\nProven experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight carriers, and transportation service providers\nExperience withchemical safetyhandlingand hazardous material transportation\nKnowledge of GDP, DOT, IATA, hazardous materials shipping, and import/export trade compliance requirements\nStrong verbal and written communications\nProficient in computer skills using a variety of standard and custom desktop or web-based software\nExperience in managing activities required forcGMP control of materials. \nProficient in shippingmanagement systems and pcenvironments\nERP experience\nPhysical requirements include ability to lift 25lbs, frequent standing, walking, sitting and reaching with arms and hands.\nPossession of a reliable vehicle, liability insurance coverage and a California driver’s license.\nSound exciting?
