The technologist must demonstrate and exercise critical thinking skills, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, venipuncture, and safe medication administration, specific to contrast media and adjunct medications. The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of sophisticated imaging and ancillary equipment to produce quality CT procedures.\nThe CT Technologist ensures accurate documentation and image transmission and storage, professional and effective communication, and demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients.
