Provides expertise and assistance in implementing system and regional contracts to optimize expense reduction opportunities. Facilitates regional value management team meetings. Management reserves the right to revise the job description or require that other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change (for example, emergencies, staff changes, workload, or technical development).\nJOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nCost Reduction Initiatives:\nDevelops processes to facilitate contract implementation, both regional and system-wide.\nCommunicates and coordinates activities with all levels of value management staff.\nEmploys systems and techniques that result in high-levels of contract compliance, monitors results, and reports on progress.\nAssists stakeholders with exception process if current standard fails to meet clinical requirements.\nActs as a liaison between system projects and the region. Value Management:\nEnsures effective communications and collaboration within the value management environment.\nAssists in the identification and support of system-wide value management team members.\nBuilds and uses cross-functional relationships to accomplish project objectives.\nAssembles regional teams with the appropriate mix of skills and representation for local projects and may either lead or co-lead teams as assigned.\nMay attend physician or executive leadership meetings, as requested, to provide project updates. Project Management:\nProvides oversight and project management of contract conversion/implementation process.\nEnsures visibility and support of the business case as appropriate.\nVerifies the key success indicators as the basis for managing the project and sets and meets deadlines.\nEnsures that project status, issues, and successes are communicated and documented.\nMaintains and updates supply trend dashboards to track project savings performance based on data provided by regional or system analysts. Product Evaluations:\nFor the region, coordinates supplier and department/facility activities driven product evaluations at either the regional or system levels\nSecures requirements for product evaluations that may include the number of clinical participants, amount of product needed to fulfill the evaluation process, etc. EDUCATION: Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Bachelor's: Business Administration, or healthcare, or related field TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated success in major project coordination and implementation of successful cost containment initiatives. Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio. Ability to synthesize data and create meaningful presentation. Ability to quickly grasp data provided in opportunity analyses and effectively secure feedback to the supplying source as to its quality. Knowledge of healthcare products and equipment, inventory sources, and alternative sources of supply, purchasing, and distribution systems, contract administration, and new or emerging trends in the industry. Must be able to successfully facilitate team meetings that may involve competing objectives. Ability to manage complex situations with a high degree of variation. Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Successful experience in the coordination of processes for numerous sites.
