Passion is put into what we do every day.\nPurpose of the Role\nAs a Prototype Technician, you will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to develop, assemble, and validate manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and fixtures.\nYou will support manufacturing trials, quality testing, equipment troubleshooting, and process improvements to ensure safe and efficient production.\nYou will assist with technical documentation, equipment maintenance, and hands-on training to support the introduction of new products and manufacturing methods.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\nYou have a diploma in Industrial Automation, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nYou bring practical experience with electronics, electronic test equipment, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.\nYou have familiarity with motion control systems, including servo systems and drives, and the ability to troubleshoot PLC and electronic control-related issues.\nYou have strong problem-solving, time management, and technical documentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nYou demonstrate a collaborative, safety-focused approach and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to work independently and execute detailed test plans.\nBonus Skills and Qualifications\nYou have 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, or implementing automation controls and systems.\nYou have experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as ISO.\nYou are familiar with SolidWorks or Creo, or have completed machine or mechanical assembly courses.\nWhat Success Looks Like in This Role\nYou work effectively with Manufacturing Engineers to develop and validate manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.\nYou successfully troubleshoot process, material, and equipment issues to minimize downtime and improve production reliability.\nYou conduct manufacturing trials and quality tests, accurately documenting results and maintaining equipment.\nYou develop and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.\nYou actively support Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives while maintaining a safe and organized production environment.\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nSvante is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
