Passion is put into what we do every day.\nPurpose of the Role:\nLead the process engineering design, development, commissioning, startup support, and optimization of commercial-scale carbon capture facilities across a range of industrial sectors.\nDevelop and review key process engineering deliverables, including process simulations, design calculations, reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control narratives, and operating philosophies.\nCollaborate with customers, EPC contractors, equipment vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to advance Svante’s solid sorbent carbon capture technology from pilot and demonstration applications to full-scale commercial deployment.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.\nA minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in process engineering, including the design, development, commissioning, and operation of industrial process facilities.\nExperience in solvent-based CO₂ capture plants using Selective Chemical Absorption Solvents and Thermal Kinetic Optimization processes, or relevant experience in gas separation processing or gas power plants.\nStrong technical knowledge of gas processing systems, utility systems, steam generation, and carbon capture technologies.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus.\nBonus Skills and Qualifications:\nExperience in carbon capture technologies.\nExperience in gas plant construction, commissioning, and project engineering management.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations.\nWhat Success looks like in this role:\nProvide technical leadership throughout project development and execution phases, ensuring process engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\nPrepares Basis of Design document including design standards, site conditions, available utilities, emission and waste streams limitations, and overall performance requirements for the carbon capture system.\nEnsures all processes within projects comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
