AI is at the core of this position: you’ll build AI features into applications, use AI coding tools in your daily work, and share practical AI engineering experience with the wider team.\nPrior OutSystems experience is not required. You’ll receive structured training and certification on OutSystems 11 (O11) and OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) at the start of the engagement, followed by hands-on learning on live projects. You’ll work as one team with OutSystems Professional Services developers and consultants, learning their delivery practices and sharing your AI expertise with them in return.\nEngagement: Full-time\nUS citizenship required. Active US security/secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one\nRequirements\nSignificant professional development experience in one or more of C#/.NET, Java, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript.\nHands-on experience building and shipping features that use LLM APIs, such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock.\nExperience with RAG, embeddings, and vector search.\nExperience with agents, tool calling, and multi-step AI workflows.\nStrong prompt engineering skills, including structured outputs and context management.\nExperience testing and evaluating AI outputs and handling failures safely.\nDaily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.\nWeb application development, including front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a framework such as React).\nREST APIs, JSON, and system integration.\nSQL and relational data modeling.\nGit, CI/CD, and automated testing.\nExperience debugging and resolving production issues.\nFluent professional English, written and spoken.\nWill be a plus\nDevelopment experience on enterprise low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, Mendix, Appian, ServiceNow App Engine, Salesforce Platform, or Pega.\nUnderstanding of how low-code changes delivery: faster prototyping, model-driven development, and the trade-offs between platform features and custom code.\nAny exposure to OutSystems 11 (O11) or OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC).\nMobile application development.\nExperience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or comparable orchestration frameworks.\nModel Context Protocol (MCP) servers and tool integration.\nCloud development on AWS or Microsoft Azure, and cloud or AI engineering certifications.\nExperience in regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, or government.\nDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nResponsibilities\nApplication development\nBuild web and mobile applications on OutSystems once trained, including data models, business logic, and Reactive user interfaces.\nBuild integrations with enterprise systems and APIs.\nCreate reusable components and follow agreed architecture standards.\nEstimate and deliver work items reliably within sprints.\nAI feature development\nBuild AI features, including LLM API integration, RAG, agents, tool calling, and structured outputs.\nWrite and refine prompts and manage context.\nBuild evaluation tests, guardrails, and monitoring for AI features.\nUse OutSystems AI capabilities, such as Mentor and AI Agent Workbench, and integrate external AI services where they fit better.\nQuality and engineering practice\nTake part in code reviews, giving and receiving feedback constructively.\nWrite automated tests and support QA and user acceptance testing.\nTroubleshoot performance and production issues.\nDocument code, components, and decisions.\nAI-assisted development and knowledge sharing\nUse AI coding tools productively and responsibly, with human review of generated code.\nShare effective AI-assisted development practices with the joint team.\nMentor other developers and contribute to shared component libraries.\nDemonstrate AI techniques and lessons learned in team sessions.\nOutSystems training you’ll receive\nOutSystems development in Service Studio (O11) and ODC Studio.\nData modeling, logic, and Reactive web and mobile user interfaces.\nIntegrations and custom code: Integration Studio in O11 and external logic in ODC.\nOutSystems AI capabilities, such as Mentor and AI Agent Workbench.\nOutSystems developer certification, with a path to more advanced
