It is an industry leader providing information technology solutions, including billing, accounting, operations, automated mailroom services, third-party integration, and many others.\nA key aspect of this role is AI-assisted development. Our client has invested heavily in AI coding tools and development pipelines. Contract developers will leverage these tools to generate UI code, evaluate AI-generated output for correctness and quality, iterate with AI tooling until the desired result is achieved, and integrate the final output into the application. This position is approximately 60% frontend and 40% backend. Comfort working in this AI-augmented development model is essential.\nWork Schedule: Significant overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours is a must (at least till 2:00 PM CST) to facilitate real-time collaboration with team members.\nRequirements\n6+ years of professional full-stack development experience.\nStrong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript (Angular 19+ preferred).\nStrong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend service development.\nExperience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, JetBrains AI, or similar).\nExperience building responsive, component-based web applications.\nSolid understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and modern frontend build tooling.\nExperience with automated testing using tools such as Cypress, Pact, and Jest.\nExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.\nUnderstanding of modern software engineering principles, including separation of concerns, modularity, component architecture, and reactive patterns.\nExperience with Git, including branching and merging workflows.\nAbility to work independently within an embedded team structure and follow established processes.\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.\nResponsibilities\nBuild responsive Angular UI screens based on designs and requirements.\nConnect UI components to backend services and APIs.\nDesign, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and the Spring Boot framework.\nLeverage AI coding tools and pipelines to generate, evaluate, and refine both frontend and backend code.\nIterate with AI tooling to produce high-quality output, reviewing and validating generated code before integration.\nCollaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams, including product owners, designers, backend developers, and QA engineers.\nWrite unit and integration tests for UI components.\nFollow all established software development methodologies, coding standards, and procedures.\nParticipate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team ceremonies.\nResearch, analyze, and resolve defects and technical
