Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in LATAM. Our client is a US-based fintech company that runs a community finance platform where members can borrow and lend small amounts to cover emergency expenses. Launched in 2018, it offers an alternative to payday loans, with borrowers setting their own terms, along with financial education and digital banking services. The platform serves around 2 million users and has facilitated about $1 billion in transactions.
Our client is building the engineering function of the future: one engineer operating a team of AI agents rather than managing a team of people. In this builder-operator role, you will own full-stack development across the client’s ecosystem, from frontend to backend to infrastructure, using agents as the workforce and your judgment as the control layer. You will be responsible for the architecture, code quality, and reliability of what the agents produce, and for the workflows, guardrails, and evaluation standards that let them ship production code at scale.
Requirements
- 6+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production systems.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals across frontend (React or similar), backend (APIs and services), databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience directing AI coding agents or LLM-based workflows in production, not just experimenting with them.
- A portfolio, GitHub history, or shipped systems that you can point to and discuss in depth.
- Solid grasp of testing, code review, security, and deployment best practices.
- Sound judgment on when to let agents run and when to write the code by hand.
- Comfort operating with high autonomy and full ownership.
Will be a plus
- Experience in fintech, lending, or payments.
- Background in mobile development (React Native or native iOS/Android).
- Track record of building CI/CD, observability, or evaluation systems for code or agent pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Orchestrate AI agents across the full development lifecycle, from spec to PR to production.
- Build and refine evaluation harnesses, CI checks, and review gates that keep agent-generated code correct, secure, and auditable.
- Break ambiguous product requirements into clear tasks that agents can execute, then verify and integrate their output.
- Monitor application health, performance, and incidents, stepping in when human judgment must lead.
- Partner with product and design to ship fast without compromising quality.
