Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.\nOur client's hiring events platform is a live, high-traffic production product that receives a steady volume of client support requests, frequently tied to malfunctioning or misconfigured features. You will join the team responsible for diagnosing, triaging, and resolving these issues, with a particular focus on in-progress hiring events that are not performing as expected.\nThe work centers on debugging across interconnected systems and partnering closely with the Client Support and go-to-market (GTM) teams. The overall objective is to keep the product running reliably and sustain high client satisfaction, measured in part through user ratings.\nTime Zone: U.S. Central Time (CT)\nRequirements\n3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.\nJava and Spring Boot as the primary skill set and first priority (event management and lobby backends).\nDjango and Python as a secondary skill set and second priority (event management and lobby backends).\nReact (event management, lobby, IRL, and jobseeker frontends).\nKafka (event management backend).\nGraphQL (event management and lobby backends).\nSQL or MongoDB (event management and lobby backends).\nBuild and deployment experience.\nSenior-level engineering skills, with the ability to ramp up quickly and take ownership across multiple projects.\nHigh level of ownership and autonomy.\nExperience with at least one of the following: Dagster, data lakes, or Amazon Athena.\nWill be a plus\nProduct management experience working with GTM teams and engineers on prioritization.\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Windsurf).\nAbility to work independently and autonomously.\nInitiative and ownership, taking tasks forward (including merging and deploying code) without close supervision.\nClear and concise communication.\nComfort handling ambiguity.\nPrioritization and strategic thinking.\nExperience using data to troubleshoot production issues.\nResponsibilities\nAnalyze and resolve production issues, with particular focus on in-progress hiring events.\nPartner closely with client-facing teams to triage and address support tickets.\nResolve issues promptly to meet established SLAs.\nMonitor production systems and respond swiftly to alerts or performance degradation (\"going red\").\nSupport architecture changes and system integrations that may impact hiring events.\nMaintain and update event logic in response to changes in dependencies and underlying systems.\nSupport and onboard new team members as additional roles are filled, with Lead- and Senior-level hires prioritized
