# Chief Engineer – 1st Class

As Chief Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our harbour tugs. You will be responsible for the vessel's engine room, propulsion systems, machinery and technical equipment, ensuring the tug remains operationally ready and compliant with applicable safety and maritime standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the safe operation of the engine room and all onboard machinery. Operate, monitor and maintain main engines, propulsion systems, generators and auxiliary equipment. Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure vessel reliability and availability. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical defects and machinery failures. Maintain accurate engine-room logs, maintenance records and technical documentation. Monitor fuel, lubricants, spare parts and engineering consumables. Coordinate maintenance activities with the
