He/she is responsible for managing the fleet to ensure that all required services are delivered safely and efficiently, according to Svitzer nautical standards and that customer requirements and expectations are met.\nSpecific Area of Responsibility\nYour main tasks will be:\nFleet geographic distribution based on customer and operational requirements\nDaily planning and tug assignment (dispatch) to jobs to ensure customer service and satisfaction\nManagement of tug assignment to ensure compliance with crew resting hours, preventive maintenance needs and dry dockings in coordination with Fleet Management\nSupport Fleet with necessary information and requirements for crew assignment according to specific operations\nPlanning, executing, and supervising of special operations, including leading, supervising, executing and controlling risk assessments, task analysis and ad hoc preparation of the tugs and crews\nOperational reporting, incident/accident investigation, crisis management, emergency response management in coordination with Fleet and Legal\nEnsure optimal utilization of the fleet, plan and control fuel consumption and delivery and manage and control port expenses\nPermanent coordination and teamwork with Commercial and Fleet departments to optimize use of assets, efficiency, cost control and customer satisfaction\nManage Helm from job input/planning, tug assignment/dispatch, use on board, to tariff application and invoicing, secure efficient use and control of accurate job information\nLiaise with customers and local stakeholders as needed to plan and ensure service, coordinate and solve operational issues and manage complaints and solve problems\nAssist with analysis, planning, execution of new business, entering new geographies and other specific projects\nTug management visits, maintain permanent and close contact with crews on board to ensure safe operations, wellbeing, permanent improvement\nPerform other ad hoc tasks as needed\nRequirements/Preferred Education \nUniversity degree in Marine Sciences or other related degree preferable, or related area, preferred master on relevant degree \nTraining and Experience\nMore than 5 years of experience in towage organization as Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager\nSolid understanding of Maritime Industry and International Maritime Legislations\nStrong abilities to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders' interests\nAbility to work in a global business environment and in a matrix organization\nFluent written and spoken Spanish. \nAdvance written and spoken English\nProficient in MS Office application\nSafety environment awareness\nFlexibility to frequent travel for short periods of time, as well as vessels if required\nBuilding a Diverse Workplace\nIn Svitzer we value the diversity of our talent and will always strive to recruit the best person for the job - we value diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to gender, age, nationality, race, sexual orientation, disability, or religious beliefs.
